Coordinated Suicide Prevention Programs

Our mandate is to raise awareness of the issues surrounding suicide in all ages in all groups though creative, ongoing programming in the Parkland County Region. Alberta has one of the highest suicide rates in Canada. In 1998 a group of concerned individuals formed the CSPP to address the issues of suicide prevention and awareness in the area. CSPP has promoted awareness though ongoing presentations to schools and agencies, coordinating public awareness campaigns and providing reference material and referrals to people in need.
